Babe Ruth at Yankee Stadium 8/21/1942 (59) 35mm Contact Sheet Photo WW2 Effort. This is an extremely historical sheet uncut! Original and authentic photo sheet! Babe Ruth warms up for photographer at New York's Yankee Stadium Aug. 21, 1942, preparing for an exhibition against pitching great Walter Johnson to raise money for the Army-Navy Relief Fund during World War II. Extremely rare 35mm contact sheet photo from that day and may be the only example. Bought this many years ago and have never found any of these 59 photos published anywhere. I suspect the Photographer was Thomas Sande (AP). Frame size is 28X24 and photo approximately 16X20. Ruth hit his final HR at the Stadium against Walter Johnson in the exhibition game.
