This is a copy of the popular temperance movement book by T. S. Arthur, Ten Nights in a Bar-Room, published by the Henry Altemus Company out of Philadelphia. There is no date listed, so what I have gathered from my research is that this is an artful reprint whose covers changed periodically between 1894 and 1926. This is coming from the Vademecum Series. (reference information will be included) ~ It served as a powerful piece of propaganda for the temperance movement, highlighting the devastating personal and social consequences of alcohol abuse. It is often credited with helping to popularize the call for prohibition.
