Up for sale is 1 vintage 2004 authentic extremely rare and highly collectible / limited edition George Rodrigue Blue Dog Argus Mardi Gras Krewe doubloon coin token medal.
The famous Louisiana artist George Rodrigue’s studio dog “Tiffany” is pictured on the doubloon. These doubloons were exclusively made for this parade and were very hard to obtain.
He is known worldwide for his “Blue Dog” series of paintings and was the grand Marshal of the Krewe of Argus parade in 2002. He rode on a specially built Blue Dog float and personally tossed doubloons to parade attendees.
This doubloon is great for collectors and is often framed with his prints and artwork.
