Featuring a Vixen style dovetail at the base, the Neewer 9"/230mm Rail Bar mounting plate is compatible with any standard vixen style saddle manufactured by various brands. Two 3.5" (87.6mm) countersink slots are designed for installing balancing equipment. 0.25" (6.4mm) in width, the slots can accommodate M6 and 1/4" screws. Each slot also features three 3/8" screw holes (M8 countersink holes) with a 1.4" (35mm) spacing between each one.
Twenty 1/4" screw holes are evenly distributed on both sides of the countersink slots, with a spacing of 0.8" (20mm) between each other. These holes are useful for mounting a variety of devices with the matching thread. Scale markings on either side help you find a precise position to mount your equipment for astrophotography, celestial observation, night sky watching and stargazing.
Soft nonslip rubber pads increase stability between the mounting plate and your device while protecting the device from unwanted scratches. Four safety screws at the bottom can prevent the mounting plate from dropping. Note: To use the vixen style saddle, two safety screws need to be removed.
