One-Of-A-Kind KiGi Couture designed kantha poncho top.
This top began as a vintage style 100% cotton knit t-shirt, then was upcycled with sleeves made from Kantha quilts. Kantha quilts are made from vintage Indian cotton sarees by stacking multiple layers of sarees and hand stitching which has been the custom for hundreds of years. Kantha has two meanings "rags or discarded cloth" and it also refers to Bangladeshi embroidery technique using a running stitch on layered fabrics to create quilts. The result is a beautiful, soft, flowy, sustainable garment.
The poncho has open sides tacked with an approximate 10-12" armhole opening.
The length of the Kantha is approximately 28".
The width of the top is approximately 41"
