Patagonia established Beneficial in 1996 to make all cotton products from organic cotton materials. Beneficial was the largest organic cotton supplier in North America, selling T-shirts to environmentally conscious companies. They moved their base to Mexico in the late 90s, but the production line of Beneficial is now discontinued.
