The very old music box is hand-made with meticulous care and attention to every detail. This piece has so much character and authenticity everything about is is rare and precious. As you wind up the luxurious music box, you will hear a lovely melody that complements the romantic rococo garden scene on the lid. This is a truly unique and enchanting item that will fill your heart with joy and wonder.
This luxury painting was made for Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764), the official chief mistress of King Louis XV of France and a patron of the arts. She commissioned Boucher to paint a series of four paintings representing the four seasons, each with a different landscape and a different pair of lovers. Madame de Pompadour was a great admirer of Boucher’s style and had many of his works in her residences. Very old and delicate and lovely.
