VTG Sheaffer's Double Pen Pencil Desk Set Black Marble Base Perpetual Calendar

Vintage mid century Sheaffer's double pen and pencil desk set with brass or gold-tone holders, a black marble or granite stone base with green felt backing and brassy gold-tone perpetual calendar No. 585 in original boxes. The base is 10" x 5" x 3/4".

Vintage used condition: the black base has light scratches and wear. The pen tip is all gummed up with old ink and the shaft finish is worn or chewed. The pencil works mechanically but may not be original to the set because it fits loosly in the holder and has a white dot while the pen does not. The perpetual calendar works mechanically, but the paper is worn between 1 and 0 in the 1s digit. I'm not sure how to change the month from March. Note the finish wear or perhaps surrounding old dirt at the top of the calendar. The large box has tape on one end.
