Are you exercising enough? – It depends on your health and goals. Before you make a decision on how much you need, you should have a good idea of your exercise goals: Are you exercising for physical fitness, weight control, low blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, or as a way of keeping your stress levels low?
With our time in short supply, being active every day can be achieved by making activity part of our daily lives; being disciplined; and doing something we enjoy: taking the opportunity for short trips on foot, by bicycle, as well as doing whatever exercise, dance, leisure, or sports.
According to The Britsh National Foundation, this table shows how much you should exercise per week:

Note: If your goal is more specific — say, to lower your blood pressure, improve your cardiovascular fitness, or lose weight, for example — you’ll need either more frequent exercise or a higher intensity of exercise.
? Remember…
- Keep in mind that physical activity does not need to be strenuous to be effective. Small and simple changes can make a difference to a healthier you and help you get more active. For example, instead of using the lift, why not take the stairs?
- On days it is particularly difficult for you to find the motivation, try to work out for 5-10
minutes only. Starting is often the hardest part. Once you start, you’ll find it’s easier to keep going. - There are tons of fitness apps that can help you reach your goals! Like, PEAR Personal Fitness Coach, Fitbit Coach, Workout Trainer, among many others
