Seitan Steaks https://www.veganit.org/recipe/steaks-with-mushrooms/ https://www.veganit.org/recipe/steaks-with-mushrooms/#respond Sat, 03 Oct 2020 15:11:06 +0000 https://www.veganit.org/?post_type=osetin_recipe&p=1698 Read More]]> My dear grandmother, who took care of me and my brother when we were little, often used to cook steak with mushrooms. We loved it and always asked for a second plate.

This is my vegan version of my grandmother’s recipe.

Note: Of course, it will never be as good as grandma’s (grandma’s recipes are and will be always superior).

Vegan Ceviche https://www.veganit.org/recipe/vegan-ceviche/ https://www.veganit.org/recipe/vegan-ceviche/#respond Wed, 23 Sep 2020 14:48:04 +0000 https://www.veganit.org/?post_type=osetin_recipe&p=1707 Read More]]> Ceviche is a style of cuisine that comes from coastal areas of Latin America. It combines traditional foods eaten by natives of the region and foods brought by Spanish colonizers in the 1600s. Ceviche is a seafood dish where diced cubes of raw fish are marinated in a lemon or lime juice mixture. However, in my vegan version, the traditional raw fish is replaced with tofu. This vegan ceviche is delicious, colorful, and super healthy!

Vichyssoise https://www.veganit.org/recipe/vichyssoise/ https://www.veganit.org/recipe/vichyssoise/#respond Mon, 21 Sep 2020 14:59:28 +0000 https://www.veganit.org/?post_type=osetin_recipe&p=1712 Read More]]> Vichyssoise is a French thick soup made of boiled and puréed leeks, onions, and potatoes. What I like the most about this recipe is that it can be made ahead of time, as the flavors will only get better as the soup chills in the fridge. This recipe was inspired by “Vichyssoise de alho francês com avelãs torradas, cebolinho e ovas de truta” by José Avilez – an AMAZING Portuguese cooker.
