Ingredients

200gr of dates

50gr of cocoa powder

1 dash of salt

1 tsp of vanilla extract

140gr of chopped peanutsor any others nuts you like

1,5 tbsp of tahinior your favourite nut butter

Toppings:

2tbsp of shredded coconut

1 tbsp of chopped salted pecans

2tbsp of sesame seeds
Directions
Quite simply, these are just a bunch of energy-giving foods smooshed together.

Pit the dates and add them to a food processor. Blend until you reach a smooth consistency. Note: If you don't own a food processor, you can also mash the dates using a fork and then mix it with the other ingredients. If the dates are not soft, soak in warm water for 10 minutes first. |

Add in the rest of the ingredients and combine everything. |

Use a teaspoon measure to form balls with your hands. If you find the mixture is too sticky and doesn't form into balls easily, add shredded coconut, and try again. |

Sprinkle some chopped coconut flakes or salted peanuts on top, and/or sesame seeds, if desire, and enjoy! Store the energy bites in the fridge for up to 1 week. |
